In a recent podcast on IT Finance Connection, Laura Mooney, VP of Corporate Communications for Metastorm, discussed how BPM and business intelligence (BI) tools can work together in an organization.

In early January, a Gartner report found that BPM and BI are two top priorities for CIOs in 2009. Mark McDonald, VP and head of research for Gartner EXP said, “You take process improvement, cost and workforce effectiveness and put them together with BI and that is a recipe for changing the way you work.”

In this podcast, Laura comments on the number of CIOs who now consider BPM an important application for gaining true business intelligence. Mooney discusses the greater insight BPM gives business managers into what is happening across the organization and how it empowers employees to be more productive and make better business decisions.
