Metastorm customer wins CIO 100 Award for BPM project

Posted by: Metastorm PR on: June 8, 2009

Today Metastorm announced that CIO Magazine has named a Metastorm customer as one of this year’s CIO 100 winners in recognition of its success with BPM. The customer is one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and health care products companies.

According to CIO, the 2009 CIO 100 Awards honors 100 companies that are creating new business value by innovating with technology. The award entry highlighted the deployment of an electronic data capture system for the collection of drug trial data using both Metastorm BPM and Medidata Rave. It notes that the customer’s clinical data is now available almost immediately following patient visits, enabling dynamic trial execution methods and “early fail” business decisions for study projects.

The CIO 100 award applicants were asked what technologies were most important to executing their projects, and business process management and enterprise architecture technologies emerged #1 and #2 in the overall list – providing strong industry validation on the value that these applications deliver.
