Dennis Byron on the customer survey

Posted by: Metastorm PR on: May 18, 2009

Recently, Dennis Byron, ebizQ analyst, interviewed an executive from Metastorm to discuss the results of its customer survey in this article titled, “BPM VIEWPOINT: Are You Asking Yourself the Hard Questions about BPM in Today’s Economy?”

In the article, Byron comments that the survey serves as a “pretty good list of things to keep in mind as you proceed on any BPM project…using any supplier’s BPM products.” Byron believes that the first question of the survey, “What is your top business process improvement focus area in 2009?” addresses the question if BPM is simply a way to help you behind the firewall or is it more important working across the firewall with customers and suppliers.

The third question of the survey asked customers their average return on their Metastorm-based BPM project. Byron thinks this is obviously the most important question of all and that “you should look at both the hard and soft savings in calculating the return.”

Byron presents some interesting comments on the survey; we would welcome your thoughts or perspective on the survey as well. To view the complete survey results, please click here.
