BPM can Support Your Growth Strategy

Recent Studies have shown that around 43% of UK homes own a pet, and have predicted that number will increase over the course of the upcoming year. Substantiating this data, despite the recession a leading UK network of veterinary practices is planning to expand from forty-two to sixty clinics by the end of 2009, as well as to add fifteen every year thereafter.

Having widely dispersed practices across the UK, coupled with its expansion plans, the corporation identified a strong need to enhance its current IT systems through Business Process Management to enable more consistent, faster and more effective data sharing and collaboration throughout the entire practice network to drive efficiencies and help accelerate growth.

“We are using Metastorm BPM® to build the foundation systems of the whole of the business, starting from the HR department—a project that we hope will be delivered in the next two months,” said the project leader.

Laura Mooney, vice president of communications at Metastorm, described the many benefits Metastorm BPM will offer the quickly-growing practice: “BPM will help Vets4Pets have greater control of the flow of the information that the different practices produce and enable them to collaborate and benefit from consistent business practices.”

Watch this video to learn how this network of veterinary practices is planning to use Metastorm BPM for other projects, including supporting the provision of online care services and products.
